Making counseling more accessible…
One of the ways Leavitt Institute attempts to make counseling more accessible is by offering more affordable services. While we firmly believe that relationships are tremendously valuable and worth the sacrifice of time, energy, and even money, we also believe that there are far too many people whose relationships are suffering because they cannot afford the help that they need. Our hope is that by offering sessions (which last 50-minutes) for as low as $50, those whom may not have been able to receive the help they need and deserve may enjoy the benefits of therapy.
What about insurance? We are happy to provide you with a detailed receipt to help you seek reimbursement from your insurance company. You may want to call them to ask if your plan has “out-of-network mental health benefits” and get details about your benefits. Insurance rarely covers marriage or relational counseling. You must typically qualify for a mental health diagnosis in order to have insurance reimburse you for treatment. Even with insurance, most plans require a co-pay which is often very close to $50. We feel that there can be advantages to paying cash. Insurance companies limit the quantity and duration one can attend counseling (depending on the diagnosis), so our affordable fees allow clients to come as often as they feel necessary – without having to worry about it being covered or not.
By combining affordable fees with the versatility of online therapy, the Leavitt Institute provides another option for individuals who live in areas where the cost of counseling is high. Religious leaders may also find this helpful in providing support to those in need of counseling services.
